Edgewood Eats! Third Friday Food Trucks
Edgewood Eats! Third Friday Food Trucks is presented by the City of Edgewood on the third Friday from September through May. Held in Bagshaw Park, guests enjoy a variety of food trucks from 6 to 9 p.m. Featured trucks change monthly but have included lobster rolls, Portuguese cuisine, fish and chips, regional American, Latin food, ice cream, barbecue, and much more.
During each food truck event, guests enjoy Bagshaw Park, a variety of music options, bounce houses for the kids, and a car show and cruise each month except during the Santa Fly-In. The City invites you to bring your well-behaved, leashed, dogs too!
Santa Claus arrives by helicopter every year to the City with his personal pilot, Reindeer Dan! Watch the calendar for this year's event and don't miss the excitement. Bring your camera or phone because Santa takes some time to meet with the children to hear what they would like for Christmas. Children can also write letters to Santa and he will write back to them!
Toys For Tots
The U.S. Marine Corps Reserve Toys for Tots Program is the Marine Corps’s premier community action program and one of the nation’s flagship Christmas charitable causes. Over the years, it has become a traditional part of the City of Edgewood's holiday season. Watch the calendar and help make the holidays special for a local child in need this holiday season.
Law Enforcement Torch Run
Edgewood Police Department in addition to other local law enforcement agencies participates in the Torch Run for Special Olympics. This has been an event in Orange County for over twenty (20) years. For the last several years the event has been run within the City of Edgewood. In addition to the hundreds of runners, there will be officers on motorcycles from every agency in Orange County controlling traffic. The runners solicit monetary pledges as a means of raising money, and all monies collected go towards the Special Olympics.
